What is Finchly?
Finchly is an AI-powered study assistant for students. Finchly connects to Google Classroom with your permission to sync your courses, assignments, announcements, and deadlines into one app. It also provides AI tutoring, flashcards, study planning, OCR note scanning, and reminders to help students stay organized and learn more effectively.
How Finchly uses Google data
After you sign in with your Google Account, Finchly requests access to your Google Classroom only to display your enrolled courses, assignments, announcements, and coursework inside the app. Finchly never accesses your Google Classroom unless you explicitly authorize it.
Google Classroom Integration
Finchly uses the Google Classroom API to:
- Display your courses
- Display assignments and deadlines
- Display announcements
- Help the AI Tutor explain your coursework
- Organize your study schedule
Coursework attachments are stored in Google Drive rather than in Classroom, so Finchly also requests read-only access to Drive purely to open the files attached to your coursework — nothing else in your Drive is used. Every permission Finchly requests, and the reason for it, is listed in What we ask for, and exactly why.

What we ask for, and exactly why
Signing in with Google is optional — you can use an email address instead. If you do connect your Google account, Finchly asks for read-only access to these things and nothing else. Every item below powers a feature you can see in the app.

To open the files your teacher attached to coursework — the PDFs and Docs live in Drive, not in Classroom. Finchly Tutor reads that attachment so it can explain the lesson and build your study plan. Nothing else in your Drive is used.

- Post, comment, or submit work as you.
- Sell your data, or use it for advertising or profiling.
- Use your Google data to develop, improve, or train generalised AI or machine-learning models.
- Let people read your content — apart from where you ask us to for support, or where security or the law requires it.
Finchly's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
You stay in control
- Disconnect Google Classroom in the app at any time — the app keeps working without it.
- Revoke Finchly's access entirely from your Google Account permissions.
- Ask us to delete your account and its content.

Before you download
Is Finchly really free?
Yes. Every account starts on Free and stays there until you choose to pay. You get 30 chat replies a day, and all the notes, schedule, Classroom, planner and tuition features.
How do I pay for Pro?
Inside the app, under Settings → Subscription, using QR Ph from any GCash, Maya or bank app. It is ₱149 for one month or ₱350 for three. Paying extends your access date — nothing charges you again automatically.
Can I trust the AI answers?
Treat them as study help, not as verified answers. AI can be confidently wrong, so always check anything important against your own course material — and follow your school's rules on what you may submit as your own work.
What happens to my notes and files?
They stay yours. We store them so the app can work, and we never sell your data or use it for ads. The Privacy Policy lists exactly what is collected and who processes it.
Does it need a permanent connection?
No. Reminders, note scanning and the day planner all run on your device. Only the chat, the tutor and syncing Classroom need the internet.
